The Incredible Hulk begins with scientist Dr. Bruce Banner desperately searching for a cure to the gamma radiation that unleashes the force which turns him into a giant green monster under emotional stress. Make him mad and he’s going to squash you. Living in the unknown areas of Rio, cut off from a life he knew & the woman he loves, Elizabeth Ross, Banner struggles to seek a cure for his unique condition while keeping himself in the low key to evade his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross and Emil Blonsky. The Incredible Hulk Movie: General Thunderbolt and Emil Blonsky

Like any other super hero, the Hulk also finds his Achilles heel. Dr. Elizabeth Ross. Allowing himself to be totally secluded from her is hard but he needs to. Just keeping his eye on her on the newspaper articles about her triumphs. The story reveals a love that goes beyond any scientific experiment failure. As they find in each other that strength to keep on fighting. Even to the point of allowing himself to be sacrificed just to keep Betty safe. Call it love? Betty is the word. “Betty” - the only name I’ve heard the Hulk uttered for the entire duration of the movie. (Right?!) I was wondering how come Abomination could come up with such speeches as “Is that all you’ve got?..” and “You don’t deserve this power!”

Bruce Banner and Elizabeth Ross: Kissing in the rain.

The movie itself is filled with action packed scenes that intensifies when the brilliant and mysterious Dr. Blue (whom Mr. Green asked help from via encrypted chat server) turned into a useless twit responsible for creating the abominable Abomination. Blonsky is transformed into the green monster Abomination in pursuit of the Hulk. New York City comes to destruction as they war around the city. There’s just one thing that bothers me though, the roof top fight scene has a flaw. (That’s what I’ve observed though.) It seems to me that it all happened on the ground. Imagine how fast all those policemen and civilians got to swarm around the Hulk and the defeated Abomination. They must have missed that.

Good reigns over evil. Abomination gets defeated. Yet, Bruce Banner is still left to finding answers to his current condition as he counts his number of days without incident. For how long will he live a peaceful life as Bruce Banner? Or will he be that green creature he becomes all his life? Well, we are all waiting for the answer. As the movie ends with more twists as Mr. Tony Stark (Yes, IRONMAN.) comes up to General Ross to leave us all hanging.. “What would you say if I told you we’re putting a team together?” and he replies “Who’s “we”?

George Carlin Gallery
June 22, 2008. The day that the world witnessed the passing away of a giant in the entertainment industry. George Denis Patrick Carlin passed away at age 71 due to heart failure. It was noted that he had a history of heart problems. It was that same Sunday afternoon that he checked in to St. John’s Medical Center in Santa Monica complaining of chest pain.

American stand-up comedian (and perhaps one of the greatest stand-up comedians), actor and author. A 4-time Grammy Awardee. He was famously known of “The Seven Words You Can’t Say on Television.” He did have some problems to face behind all these comedy and entertainment. But that never stopped him from making his way up the ladder. His contribution to the entertainment industry will definitely outlive entertainment itself.

With the laughter you shared to the world, God must have been proud.

The very famous invention of the carpenter, Ole Kirk Christiansen didn’t just dawn out of some wild imagination that sprung to him like a bubble. In fact, his livelihood which is constructing houses and furnitures met an unexpected disaster. This brought about an opportunity wherein he decided to create miniature versions if his products. From that, LEGO was first conceptualized. Ole Kirl was able to lay it down to his people to come up with the best name for the company. Thus, the name LEGO was coined. It comes from the danish terms “leg” and “godt” meaning play well. Today, it is generally interpreted as “I put together” or “I assemble”. In a few years time, the widespread use of plastic paved way for the creation of the “Automatic Binding Bricks”, which was late ron known as “LEGO bricks”.

The Indiana Jones film series and the Lego company has brought to us the LEGO Indiana Jones alongside the film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull released in May 2008. These minifigures have gone through some issues before they were finally released as the Indiana Jones Lego product line scrubbed the inclusion of Nazis. Well, that’s understandable. Children who would be playing wouldn’t care about such things. Toys are toys. So the problem was dissolved eventually. And there you have it!

Big things indeed come from small things.

Road less traveled

The HIGHEST courage is to dare yourself in the face of ADVERSITY…Choosing RIGHT over wrong, ETHICS over convenience, and TRUTH over popularity…
These are the choices that measure our LIFE. Travel the path of INTEGRITY without looking back. For there is NEVER a wrong time to do the right thing.

Crossroads.

May 26, 2008 Author: icay | Filed under: Personal

Life has never been a straight road. In a lifetime, one comes across crossroads, potholes, u-turns, uneven grounds, and sometimes, to a dead end.

I have been weighed down with such feelings lately. My life revolves around choices I could not think of as my own. Choices I must make whether big – small – easy – hard – or yet – painful.

At the point I could say that I am faced with such. A crossroad - four paths going in four totally different directions. Right in front of me is this brand new road. Smooth, brightly lit, and awaits a promise of a whole new world of opportunities.

Behind me is a war-torn battlefield. It’s laden with obstacles and tormented with bloodied war memoirs. The road stretched on for miles and what used to be a glorious, mighty, formidable and highly respected place is now reduced to nothing more than ashen ruins. This is my past that has shaped the strong part of me.

To the road at my right, a vast empty space spreads over the horizon. Not a single soul in sight. Just peace – plain perfect peace. A place that signifies the resting place of my tired soul. Peaceful indeed, yet empty. I rest there often, with my eyes closed and with a heart and mind praying deeply for that something I can’t seem to find.

On the left, I see all the things I’ve ever dreamed of. A life anyone would dream of. Love’s promise of eternal contentment waiting to be received. Yet I hesitate - because nothing in this world is permanent. In the end, it may just be another short-lived mirage.

Choices. Crossroads. We are all made to inevitably make choices. We have always been the masters of our souls. And whether or not these decisions make or break us, one fact that hurts so much is that nothing can take it back. No rewinds. No going back. Time won’t stop. And what hurts even more is that time may not be enough to patch our deeply cut wounds. I feel like I’m in a mudslide sinking deeper day by day.

Life is more than just the decisions you make. More than what the most experienced people say it is. More than our every day encounter with the world. For me, life is what I have right now. It can never be completely mine. Yet I hold on to what’s keeping me alive and what’s giving me strength each day because I’ll never know when I’ll truly smile again.
