For at least once in your life you’ll find that one person you’ll want to spend forever with. The reason why you live each day pretty sure that tomorrow will always be a good one. One that sees only rainbows after the rain and bright blue skies after a heavy storm. Love does not kindle in you a flame that dies out after you shed some tears. But rather, love’s fire is ever burning. It makes your heart want to explode. And everything there is to magical and fantasy and reality all together. A mix of emotions only heaven knows of… And not even death can stop…

Today, I write my very first love letter to that one person in my life who showed me a lot of what really is over what’s superficial. Love is not being swept away but eternal passion. Love is not always a guaranteed amazing wonderful journey. It is rather, what dreams are made of. It is more than that – a mix of both worlds in good and bad. Today, I am a whole better person thanks to a wonderful being I started life with. I am proud of what I have become because of him. He indeed is and will forever be God’s gift to me.

Yzzy and I are very lucky to have you, Sweetest.

coins in usaToday is a productive day for me. As I was doing choirs and cleaning the closet, I was able to find quite a number of coins scattered just about everywhere. I also found piggy coin banks and pumpkin coin banks! My dad was very enthusiastic on keeping them. They usually come as giveaways and prizes at parties and events held at the hotel he is working at.

Grouping cents, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars is not such a chore for me after being here for quite some time. I could just recall the first few days we’ve settled in. I have to admit, it took some time to get used to. Basically, I was glad my younger siblings who went to high school here were asking me to help them in projects and stuff. Good thing they had this assignment once about coins and bills of America. I did my own research and found these back and front images of the coins. Unlike in the Philippines, here they have a variation of the design on the coins. Geographically speaking, America has 50 states. Thus, each of these states have been producing different coins in commemorating certain people and events that have made such an impact to America’s history as a whole. And I was pretty much glad to learn the basics of a country from monetary to history to the present law system there is. Being in a new place is indeed requiring much transition. And I must say, its not so bad after all. I know I have more to see and find out and experience – its a whole new world out there. So here you go, I hope I have made this post beneficial to those specifically looking for help with coins. I actually made this because it took me a while to garner good images of it and I know a lot might probably be wondering how they look like when they first land here.

So let me explain a little bit about what I found most interesting that made me easily specify which is which. Most coins are silver in color, unlike the Philippines’ monetary system there’s the 1 peso which takes the silver color. All you need to know is that the bronze ones are the pennies and gold ones are the dollar coins. You can never go wrong with that I’m sure! And the smallest of them all is the dime or 10 cents.  Next in line with regards to size is the penny. Then we have the nickel or 5 cents. The way it is structured makes it stand out a bit – it is thick. Let your eyes and hands guide you. The quarter or 25 cents is most likely similar in size to the 1 peso in the Philippines. Next is the dollar coin. And the biggest, is the half dollar coin. Have fun learning the basics!

Yes, nothing but YOU on a very freezing windy day. I’m not a coffee addict but I’ve found myself indulge in it since I started working. Working on late nights and even up to morning is indeed stress. For those who had work during graveyard shifts, think again – you know what I mean. It was becoming more of a routine for me to drink from one to three cups a day. Though this was seldom to happen, coffee made its way to my life.

And now, it’s all I have under the cold weather. Mind you, I am roughly about a third of a mile home right now and I am just taking my time at Starbucks and gauging for the best time to walk back home. Las Vegas, known to be a desert, is mostly cold in a year. Science and geography explains it. And this warm vanilla latte is perfect to soothes me perfectly.

I know, I should have a book with me and its all but a perfect silent and soothing experience. My brother and I just dropped by from inquiring from a firm just a few doors away.No second thoughts, for coffee is what we need!

Mind you, benefits of coffee are way out of our imagination. It does contain caffeine but with proper knowledge of what too much is will surely guarantee you beneficial health implications as part of a healthy diet and physically active lifestyle.

1. Coffee maintains day-time alertness levels during the night or even reducing tiredness following a night without sleep. (This is very applicable to college students who have a pile of books to read or duties to attend to!)

2. Coffee helps improve driving performance at night and decreases the onset of sleepiness. (Most people here drive, one cup of coffee can save you from a possible wreck.)

3.Coffee helps restore normal alertness level when suffering from a cold. (The weather would not always be perfect. Most people get sick as weather changes from time to time. Save yourself from that sickening feeling and grant yourself a cup of aroma therapy.)

4. Coffee reduces the post-lunch dip in alertness.

5. Coffee helps maintain sustained attention over long working sessions. (Yes, the working population mostly have so much things to do and with so little time. This is practically what you need to seize through the day.)

Wow, I guess I need not say more.

Coffee is one of life’s pleasures. I’m back with my coffee-loving-self and that’s the way it is for now. Got to head home now.
