It’s a windy night yet we chose to hit the road and give The Bellagio Hotel at the Strip a visit. We’ve always been curios and excited to see what new decorations and sculpting they have at the lobby. This usually goes to every special days the world celebrates or the current season we are in. Mind you, we leave astonished and in awe every single time. I’m an artist myself and I must say the people behind every work of art are magnificent! How I wish someday the world is going to look at my works! I mean, Bellagio – Las Vegas is indeed a must-see as foreigners from across countries come here whole year round to manifest the wonders they offer. Look what they made for Spring 2010, such a wonderful concept of having a spill away of soil from an overturned pot and a huge green shovel on the side. Adding to that, there’s this butterfly by the rim of the pot that has wings that move! Way too cool. The lighting’s made them all stand out. Even the simplest shooting water is cool! They shoot up bits of water from somewhere and form an arc.
Above is an orb that has water flowing from it. Hydraulic works are so wonderful when added to assume the ambiance and the setting of the entire place. See those water flowing from the decorative garden watering can? They have a number of those surrounding the center of the lobby. Beside that picture is water flowing from steps of leaves. Reminds me of the movie A Bug’s Life! I felt like I was in an imaginary world and I wanted to be there for as long as I could.
Just so you know, all of these are made with real and roses and flowers which I don’t recognize the names anymore. They’ve used up a lot of different kinds and they all blend together to form these wonderful real-life looking snails and frog! It is more than just a piece of art ei? Kudos to those flower arrangements!
And yes, these ants are crazy in action. Posing like God froze time and made us all see the world being still and silent for a moment. When I see creations like these that sum up a man’s capability to imagine and create such a wonderful replica of what the world is supposed to be makes me realize that there’s more to be thankful for everyday that we often overlook. Being here made me realize how small I am in this planet Earth. So much more if I were to shrink and see how these ants are going through their lives everyday. Springs in the future should allow us to see flowering plants and animals living in harmony all across the globe. Not polluted rivers, cut down trees, burned mountains, and a sea of dead rotting animals. This world was made for us all to share and take care of. Let’s not close our eyes to what’s God-given and open them resentfully seeing the consequences of our wrong actions to save nature.

]]>Today, I write my very first love letter to that one person in my life who showed me a lot of what really is over what’s superficial. Love is not being swept away but eternal passion. Love is not always a guaranteed amazing wonderful journey. It is rather, what dreams are made of. It is more than that – a mix of both worlds in good and bad. Today, I am a whole better person thanks to a wonderful being I started life with. I am proud of what I have become because of him. He indeed is and will forever be God’s gift to me.

Today is a productive day for me. As I was doing choirs and cleaning the closet, I was able to find quite a number of coins scattered just about everywhere. I also found piggy coin banks and pumpkin coin banks! My dad was very enthusiastic on keeping them. They usually come as giveaways and prizes at parties and events held at the hotel he is working at.
Grouping cents, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars is not such a chore for me after being here for quite some time. I could just recall the first few days we’ve settled in. I have to admit, it took some time to get used to. Basically, I was glad my younger siblings who went to high school here were asking me to help them in projects and stuff. Good thing they had this assignment once about coins and bills of America. I did my own research and found these back and front images of the coins. Unlike in the Philippines, here they have a variation of the design on the coins. Geographically speaking, America has 50 states. Thus, each of these states have been producing different coins in commemorating certain people and events that have made such an impact to America’s history as a whole. And I was pretty much glad to learn the basics of a country from monetary to history to the present law system there is. Being in a new place is indeed requiring much transition. And I must say, its not so bad after all. I know I have more to see and find out and experience – its a whole new world out there. So here you go, I hope I have made this post beneficial to those specifically looking for help with coins. So let me explain a little bit about what I found most interesting that made me easily specify which is which. Most coins are silver in color, unlike the Philippines’ monetary system there’s the 1 peso which takes the silver color. Yes, nothing but YOU on a very freezing windy day. I’m not a coffee addict but I’ve found myself indulge in it since I started working. Working on late nights and even up to morning is indeed stress. For those who had work during graveyard shifts, think again – you know what I mean. It was becoming more of a routine for me to drink from one to three cups a day. Though this was seldom to happen, coffee made its way to my life.
And now, it’s all I have under the cold weather. Mind you, I am roughly about a third of a mile home right now and I am just taking my time at Starbucks and gauging for the best time to walk back home. Las Vegas, known to be a desert, is mostly cold in a year. Science and geography explains it. And this warm vanilla latte is perfect to soothes me perfectly.
