The very famous invention of the carpenter, Ole Kirk Christiansen didn’t just dawn out of some wild imagination that sprung to him like a bubble. In fact, his livelihood which is constructing houses and furnitures met an unexpected disaster. This brought about an opportunity wherein he decided to create miniature versions if his products. From that, LEGO was first conceptualized. Ole Kirl was able to lay it down to his people to come up with the best name for the company. Thus, the name LEGO was coined. It comes from the danish terms “leg” and “godt” meaning play well. Today, it is generally interpreted as “I put together” or “I assemble”. In a few years time, the widespread use of plastic paved way for the creation of the “Automatic Binding Bricks”, which was late ron known as “LEGO bricks”.

The Indiana Jones film series and the Lego company has brought to us the LEGO Indiana Jones alongside the film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull released in May 2008. These minifigures have gone through some issues before they were finally released as the Indiana Jones Lego product line scrubbed the inclusion of Nazis. Well, that’s understandable. Children who would be playing wouldn’t care about such things. Toys are toys. So the problem was dissolved eventually. And there you have it!

Big things indeed come from small things.
